12 Days

Only 12 days until my surgery. I am excited. Last night we were watching something on NBC about the surgery and my daughter got really upset. I have a peace about it though. I have been praying a lot about it, so I know it is going to be okay.

Hi Laurie, Just wanted to wish you well for your surgery and that your recovery is speedy and relatively eventless. Many have seen the TV special on WLS and as long as you're at ease with every aspect of the surgery, you'll be just fine. Once it all over and done, you'll be so glad you've followed through with it. Laurie I have 3 days left before my surgery and I also am very excited. So many people tell me not to do it but I know this is best for me. I to have peace. I live in Pineville. Dr. Barnes is doing my surgery at Shumpert in Shreveport. I will pray for you. Bobbie

Congrats!! I was so ready for my surgery. Even getting to the hospital my husband was like...are you sure honey? We can turn around. Now he is glad that I had the surgery. You have more spring in your step and to tell you the truth my family is more healthy too. My oldest little girl was going to have weight problems and now maybe I can give her tools to keep her weight under control. I don't want her to have to go through what I did. So, if you know this is what you want...GO FOR IT!! Again, CONGRATS! Rhonda
