medicare help!!!!!

what are the quilifcations for medicare i am on medicaid but i can not find a dr.that takes just medicaid alone. for the weight loss surgery how do i quilify for medicare. i am 36 years old and can no longer work due to weight problems does this quilify me for medicare

You have to apply for Social Security disability and get approved. Once you are approved for SSDI then there is a two year wait before Medicare kicks in. The SSDI process can take a while and MANY are turned down the first time they apply. Most have to resort to getting a lawyer to get approved for social security disability.
