It has been a rollercoaster of a ride.....

I have now been informed that ANY obesity related illness, doctor visit, surgical procedure, or diagnosis is excluded from my BCBS of LA policy. First I was told it was covered if it were medically necessary. Not I am told the BCBS has now cut it out of all policies because of abuse. I really am glad that it is over and that I can go on doing whatever I should have been doing anyway. They even denied the claim from my Gen Practitioner for the referral to see the surgeon. Thanks for your support.

When & who told you that it was covered if medically necessary? Make then give you a copy of the actual policy. Good luck.
