medicaid insurance help!!!

can anyone please help me i can know longer work due to my weight causeing serious health problems i am on medicaid. does anyone out there know a dr. in the baton rouge, new orleans, slidell area in la. that excepts medicaid i dont have medicare only medicaid. i would be very greatful for any help and if you know one whats my frist step in getting medicaid to approve my surgery. i have three small kids and i need help fast!!!!!! thank you!!!!

DANIEL SCOTT AT TULANE UNIVERSITY IN NEW ORLEANS, ITS A LONG STRUGGLE WITH MEDICAID, BUT IT IS WORTH IT. YOU WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO GO TO A SEMINAR, AND THEY WILL GET YOU STARTED. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

hey Jackie, i went to West Jefferson hospital i had a dr. thompson and a dr. thomas they were some wonderful doctors and the hospital staff was wonderful to and they do take medicaid and medicare if you call over there ask for judy she is the one that runs it ... i had mines 5 and a half months ago and lost 95 pounds so for so good...GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS....hugsss jane
