Hi - I am doing good (just a minor problem with an incision that did not heal fast like the others) it has to be packed with gauze every day (a home health nurse comes to my home and does it) - however, I am doing good and saw the Dr.'s practioner yesterday. I have now as of 9/21/04 lost 20 lbs. I'm still on liquids except tomorrow I can start having a banana and baby food. I am very glad I had this surgery - Dr. Lavin was my Dr. and he is located in Covington, La. I had the surgery at Lakeview Hospital. I came home 3 days later - stayed 2 nights there - a very good hospital - and good Dr. (I had the Gastric Bypass Surgery)

Hi Andria,
Welcome to the losing side. I know what you are going thru with your incision. My husband went thru the same thing. Took 2 1/2 months for it to completely heal. But he is doing well. I had mine Lap ...with no problems.
Good luck to you...email if you need to talk
God Bless

Hi Cherish - Thanks for writing and telling me about yourself and your husband. I have had the home health nurse coming out about 15 days now, and finally it is closing up faster. Looks like she may need to come out only about 3 more days and it will be closed. Thank goodness.
So glad you're doing good and thanks again for writing.
