Finally some good news....
Well, it's been a long time in coming since I have been able to post anythng good. To update those who may not be familiar...I had my DS surgery on 7/7. From 7/7 to 9/2 I was hospitalized a total of 38 days on four different ocassions. I have had 3 total surgeries to date and have been dialated 3 times so far. Currently, I am on a feeding tube 24/7. My blood work came back today and I also had to go to the hospital for a feeding tube study. Anyway, my blood work was great. I'm a little anmeic so they have added iron to my regimine. Everything goes through the feeding tube so at least I don't have to worry about the nasty taste of all these meds. Dealing with the feeding tube with a continuous pump is a pain but the alternative isn't great. The dr. said if I do well over the weekend and can keep things down that I take orally, then we could only have to be on the feeding pump just at night, Best news I have had in a while. I have all my kids back home finally. I missed my family so much with all that has happened. Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers everyone here has sent to me. It really helped to know I wasn't alone. I think my family felt better knowing that other that had problems ended in success. I can't thank everyone enough for all their great advice and well wishes. You guys are truly lifesavers.
Hi Rhonda,
I hate hearing you have had such a tough time.
I am happy to hear that you are getting better though.
I am a firm believer in "Things happen for a reason."
For whatever reason, I am sure he has big plans for you.
May you only continue to keep getting better and I will
keep you in my prayers.
Dee
Hi Rhonda;
My heart goes out to you! Girl,you have been through some stuff...
might I ask.....WHO did your surgery? Did you come to Baton Rouge to have it done? I hope all goes well with you from here on out cause of all the people I've read with problems from the surgery...you REALLY take the cake. Like I said...my heart goes out to you AND to your family.
Please,keep us informed cause I'm one of those people who will worry 'bout ya. OK? OK
By the way...my surgery is due soon. I'm thinkin' about it a lot and just not super sure I wanna go through with it. I'm still thinkin'.....Patricia
Hi Rhonda, glad that things are coming along better for you. I can only imagine how you felt not being able to have your kids with you. Mine drive me crazy, but I wouldn't trade them for the world. I am local to you, if you need to talk to someone, I am there. My surgery is Monday and I am keeping my fingers crossed that It goes well. I think that I am going to put it into God's hands and let him see me through. God bless you and hope that things keep looking up. Debbie
