There is a store in Metarie Louisiana called Oriental Merchandise. They have a 1-800 number but I dont have it. Here is their long distance number - 504-889-2893 or 504-888-3191. They have a great catalog. Hope this helps. Carla

Hi Kiwi, Try these two places. I recall seeing mardi gras beads for sale, but do not remember which it was. www.kqki.com and www.daily-review.com I want to say it was kqki. Just log in to there and look through Items Posted. Good Luck and I hope this helps. Dee

Hi, My husband and I are in 2 parades a year and we buy our beads from a place here in Baton Rouge called "Parties Start Here". Their number is 225-381-8488. They do have a website, but they don't have everything they sell on it. I think the website is mardigrasoutlet.com. I hope this helps! Amber

There is a place in Jefferson Parish called Jefferson Variety. They have better prices than Oriental Merchandise. There is also a place named Accent Annex and they have many locations around the New Orleans area so I would venture to guess that they would have pretty good prices. I used to hit garage sales on the weekends and scan the times picayune to see which advertisements said that they had beads. I do find oriental merchandise to be one of the most expensive places in town. Good luck.

The thrift stores in my area - Shreveport/Bossier City, LA - have them by the bag full for a couple of dollars. Also, Google Mardi Gras beads or email any of the Krewes and ask where they get theirs.
