HELP!!!

Hello All I'm Lucia and I'm new to this site. I'm writing because I am in need of some help. I was turned down by SSI because " I'm not disabled under their rules." I am going to appeal. However,I don't have much time I need to appeal this action no later than Oct 1st of this year. Can anyone help me with this problem.I need to Find legal advice on obesity and disability. Is their any Obesity Law and Advocacy Center in the New Orleans area?
