Insurance question

Need Help .. I talk with a sweet lady today -her name lucia she lives in New Orleans Louisiana. She is looking for help with getting Medicaid to pay for her surgery.She is over 500 pounds and is having a lot of problems with her knees and back and she is tryng to get disability and that will get her her medicaid .Doe anyone knows what she can do? If she is trying to get Social Security Disability, then she will have a two year wait to get Medicare. THat's once she is approved by Soc. Sec. I have SSDI and had to wait 2 years before my medicare kicked in. I don't know the particulars on Medicaid but I understand it takes a while to get the approval. With Medicare, no pre approval is necessary.
