Finally got my surgery date!

I could not believe it when Kelly from Dr Chu's office called me Thursday and said "guess what?" I was sure there was some problem, since it was difficult to get all my medical records from the doctors. I have been researching, reading, contemplating, and praying about this surgery for over a year. At first I thought at my age a lap band would be best, but then my health took a nose dive so here I am with a date for the "full meal deal" (just a joke), excited and not nervous that I am on my way to a new life. I want to thank everyone at ObesityHelp for all their help.

I am wishing you the best of luck. I had mine June 22 and have never looked back. 2 days after surgery I cried all day thinking 'what is God's name have I done' but after the good cry, I felt better. I was scared. I have lost 36 lbs and feel wonderful! I do my Leslie Sansone Walk-Away-The-Pounds tape each day and eat what I should, just not much of it. I am from southwest Louisiana.
