August 5th, Is MY day!!!!

I got my date today, August 5th. That is a little over two weeks, WOW! As soon as see told me the date I got nervous. I have been with this process since March 15th, but I'm suddenly driving myself crazy. I go for classes on Monday and pre-surgery work-up Friday. Everything is happening fast. I can not believe it is finally here! Robin

August 5th is my true birthday. I just had surgery with Dr. Warden (same practice) and Dr. Lavin assisted. Both of them are really terrific. You will do great. I know what you mean when you say everything is happening fast. I attended my first seminar on April 28th, had my letter of medical clearance from my PCP on May 21 and was scheduled for 7/7 when I returned from a cruise on 6/14. Hi Robin, Congrats on your surgery date. It will be here before you know it. I had my Lap Rny with Dr. Mando on 06-09-04. Its a little over a month now and I have lost 29.5 lbs. I fell great. Still a little tired. The only advice I can give you is ...the first 3 weeks are the toughest...every day gets better and better. Robin, Congradulations!!!! How exciting. It is normal to be nervous. I am still pre-op, but I was nervous for my surgery consult. I cannot imagine how it will be for my surgery. Keep your chin up. August 5th will be here before you know it. Karen
