Hello LA Family....4 days to go!

Just checking in with a quick hello. I am counting down the days...only four more to to....holy crap! I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. I have so much to do to finish summer school and get ready at work that I feel like I hardly have time to think about it. When my date was first cancelled twice and post-poned more than a month I thought I was going to die! I was so mad/sad, etc. NOW, it seems like it was only yesterday that I attended the first orientation meeting (in January). I'll try and post again before I go in and will definitely let you know how things are going when I get home.....on the losing side.....that's so weird to say! Traci

Traci, Congrats on your big day coming up! It is a very nervous, anxious but very exciting time. Your big journey is now beginning What part of New Orleans do you live in? I live on the Westbank. Where are you having surgery? I had mine at Memorial Medical Center - Baptist Campus. Dr. Michael Thomas of The Surgical Specialists of LA was my surgeon. Congrats again! The surgery will be over with before you know it and your new life will begin Kelly 320/265

Hi Kellie, I've seen your posts on the main message board a lot. Thanks for your well wishes. I live Uptown and will be having my surgery at St. Charles General. Dr. Louis Martin from the Weight Management Center is my surgeon. Congrats to you on your weight loss! You should be very proud of yourself. I can't wait to be with you on the losing side! Traci

We're all here thinking about you and praying for you, surely everything will go just fine and before you know it, you will also be able to say, hey, I'm almost a month out now! HEY GIRLFRIEND I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL......NOW IT IS 3 DAYS! REALLY LESS SINCE IT IS GETTING LATE WITH THIS REPLY. I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL.....I REMEMBER EVERYTHING ABOUT THE DAYS AND THE DAY BEFORE MY NEW LIFE....IT WAS OVERWELMING IN A SENSE, BUT I WAS MORE ANXIOUS THAN NEARVOUS.....DONT GET ME WRONG, THE NERVES KICKED IN WHEN THE WERE PUTTING THE IV'S IN MY ARM.....THEN I KNEW IT....IT WAS REALLY HAPPENING. YOU WILL BE FINE......JUST DO THESE THINGS........DO NOT RUSH ANYTHING.......DO WHAT YOU ARE TOLD TO DO BY YOUR DOCTOR'S. WALK ALOT..THAT PROMOTES HEALING AND LESS BLOOD CLOTS, LISTEN TO YOUR BODY AND YOUR HEAD.....YOU WILL BE THE ONE TO KNOW HOW YOU FEEL......JUST DO NOT RUSH THINGS.....THAT IS VERY IMPORTANT........WHEN IT IS TIME TO EAT CERTAIN FOODS, IT IS BETTER TO WAIT......DONT BE IN A HURRY TO PUT SOMETHING IN YOUR STOMACH UNTIL IT IS TIME TOO.........OK....I AM DONE WITH MY LECTURE.....JUST BEEN THERE AND KNOW WHAT TO TELL YA!
