I'm a 26 yr old looking to have gastric bypass surgery. However I can't afford to pay for the surgery. I don't have insurance and I can't find a job. I was wondering if anyone knows of any federal aid programs to help pay for the surgery. Thanks for you time.

Have you try getting on Medcaid.There are some drs. in Louisiana that are taking medicaid.Try that ok.Good Luck to you. Liz
