OHP and St. Charles Weight Manangement Center

Oschner Health Plan ( which was bought out by Humana) did not renew their contract with St. Charles Hospital. Anyone who was attending the clinic pre op are totaly screwed from what I hear. Anyone who is post op is in almost the same predictament. I had to get a prior authorization to see Dr. Klainer. The testing ( REE and body comp) are not covered because they have to be done at St. Charles. And to top this off they charge me a $45 facility fee to see the doctor when my doctor's visit is supposed to be covered in the 90 day post op period. Dr. Klainer says that they are working on a solution to this but we don't know anything at this time. Just thought I would let anyone who may have OHP know what the deal was. Melissa

Melissa Cant you change doctors to find someone in your network. I went to REnew at Methodist and was very please with both docs. Good Luck,Lesley
