Gurrrrllll..........look at your numbers! Down to 236 already?! Major congratulations to you...way to go! You must be feeling great! jump: Ummm, am I nervous? Sort of. I start my pre-op liquid diet again tomorrow (quit when my surgery was postponed for 3 months!). So I know that will be rough in the beginning. I'm also a little scared. I keep worrying about death and complications. I think I'm more worried about it not going well and having some lasting life-long complication from the surgery. I'm a good one for remorse and guilt and I would just never get over it. So I try not to think about that. I've started my "just in case" letter to my husband and family and that has been hard. But I'm mostly trying to focus on the positives and am really excited. Tomorrow I'm going shopping with a friend and I'm going to buy a carrot. I know....what the hell am I talking about....she named it that and I loved it. I am really looking forward to so many of the benefits of losing weight and one of them is shopping in regular size stores and buying lots of clothes that look great, instead of the 4 pants and 6 tops I currently switch between!!! So I was telling my friend that I wanted to go shopping and find an outfit I love that is a size 10 or 12 and buy it so that I have something tangible to work towards. When things are seeming hard, I plan to look at my fabulous outfit that I would have no chance of fitting in to without the surgery.....my carrot.....(like when you put a carrot in front of a horse to get them to go where you want!!!) My goal weight is 135 - 140 (I'm 5'3"), so I will probably end up smaller than a size 10 or 12, but I figure I'll be safe with that size (I will actually be able to wear it). So that's how I'm feeling. Tell me, tell me, tell me.............how are you doing. I never hear from you! If you're ever interested in talking on the phone I would love to talk to you. Let me know and I'll email you my phone number privately. Traci

Traci Don't stress girl. Everything will be fine. Your surgery will be a great success! Stick to the liquid diet. ( The less food you have in you before surgery the less food you have to get rid of before they will let you leave the hospital LOL) I have a couple of carrots of my own. I have 2 outfits I purchased for later. Im like you though I can't imagine being in anything smaller that a 14 so I purchased a size 14. Anything smaller than that is just lagnappe for me. I am excited to say that I have started wearing some of my old clothes that were too small for me to wear before surgery. I am feeling good. I still have some trouble sleeping. I had that problem before surgery though. Dr. Klainer says im right on track. People are starting to notice the weightloss. I am starting to get compliments. What a wonderful feeling. We must be really close in statistics. Im 5' 2 1/2". I started at 283. My goal is about 140. Keep in touch, don't worry, and think positive about what a wonderful future lies ahead. Melissa
