Appeal Letter Assistance Desperately Needed

We need assistance in composing an Appeals letter to our Insurance company. I have been looking every where for an example and am not finding anything that might work. If there is anyone who can assist is in this frustrating time we would greatly appreciate it. Our insurance company is United Health Care. They were at one time paying for the procedure to be done but have since stopped. My wife is in desperate need of the surgery and is highly recommended to have it done by both of her physicians. I've seen different appeal letter samples on here but can't remember exactly where. Did you post a message on the main OH message board? You might want to try that because unfortunately there is not much activity on the LA board. I wish you all the best of luck with the appeal. I know this must be a very frustrating time. Traci

HI Sorry to hear about all the troubles you all are having getting approval. I think each insurance approval board should have at least one morbidly obese person on it. I saw a site that might have what you are looking for. Go to www.gastricbypassfamily.com Look at the top. There are alot of different pages that you can go to .. some of them are for sample letters of various kinds. Lots of info there. Good luck .. I hope it dosent take too long. It can get frustrating.
