This is my last resort...

My insurance will not pay and I cannot wait to find a job with insurance that will pay. I have found a great place to have my surgery and it only costs $12,500. My insurance will pay for the pre-tests. I cannot finance the surgery, so I have to start saving now. Why is it sooo expensive to lose weight, but so cheap to gain it?

Are you sure your insurance will not pay?? Check out Dr. Chung's website at obesitysurgeryla.com. He is a bariatric surgeon in lake charles, louisiana. They know of a lawyer who can get the surgery covered despite exclusions. It's worth checking out. What have you got to lose - except 12,500 dollars.

I have been going through this for years with several different insurance companies. Dr. Chung only does the ROUX-EN-Y GASTRIC BYPASS and I want the lap band. $12,500 is the cheapest so far and the the Surgical specialists of LA have a good reputation. If there was another way I would gladly go with it. It's going to take me a while to save the money anyway so I will have plenty time to find alternatives, but like I said, I have been at this for years. Thanks for your information.
