Louisiana is one of the very few states left that has not passed a law mandating insurance coverage for morbid obesity. The legislature is NOW in session!! If anyone out there has ANY political clout and all interested parties please e-mail the Senate Commitee of Insurance at [email protected] and contact your senator. Reference e-mails and letters to Senate bills 409 & 660 and DEMAND MANDENTORY INSURANCE COVERAGE. And do this NOW before the bill comes up for discussion.To view these bills you can go to

I have no idea when it will be discussed. Everytime I call they can only give me the agenda for that day or the next day, but as of today (5/17) it has not been up for discussion. So everyone PLEASE send your letters!!
