Insurance Approval

I got my approval today I will see Dr. Klainer on 4/22 to sign consents and get my actual surgery date. Looks like early May..... Everyone Keep me in your prayers Love Melissa

Congratulations Melissa! I'm not too far behind you in the process. I'm also a patient at WMC, but Dr. Martin is my surgeon. I meet with him tomorrow for my H&P. I read on your profile you have to go back for a second sleep study. I hope it goes well for you. I had to go back for a second night right away because I have sleep apnea and they hooked me up to the CPAP machine (instead of that horrible plastic piece sticking up my nose!). Did WMC ask for your preference regarding a surgery date? I'm trying to coordinate my surgery around work, graduate school and a business trip of my husband's....yikes! Although, I have to get insurance approval first! I hope it goes as smoothly for me as it did for you. Take care, good luck and keep in touch.

Traci, My sleep study did go well. I did have to have the plastic piece under my nose though. The guy said he liked to put it anyway for a back up. Now I have like a blister under my nose. I did sleep better though because I took tylenol pm. During the night I felt like I wasn't getting enough air. He had to turn the CPAP up. I had a headache all day Sunday. They will work with you some on the schedule. They gave me a choice of 2 dates. I was wanting a Friday and it just so happened that the 7th was available. Time will go much faster than you think. It felt like it was taking forever to me then all of a sudden BAM I got my surgery date. Now I'm only 18 days away from crossing over to the losing side. Good luck to you and keep in touch.
