protein drinks

I cannot take the "milkshake" protein drinks. I am wanting something like a fruit drink. I am having surgery the 29th of this month and I would really like to have some home in stock that I like. I live in a small town and the stores we have around here are GNC and Wal-Mart. Any suggestions or have any good web sites?

Rhonda Congrats on your upcoming surgery. I like the Nectar apple flavor ( cherry is blech)you can buy it online in a number of places and even on ebay sometimes. I am not a fan of the shake type drinks but I do like Ultra Pure Protein pre mix shakes and I still drink them at 18 months PO. Not too sweet and come in several flavors I hate chocolate protein drinks so I have the banana. Early on I did use a vanilla powder and mixed it with crystal lite or diet v8 splash because i dont like the thickness. I went to vitalady.coma and ordered several different flavors as what you like/dislike now you will possible not feel the same after surgery. Best wishes to you ! Lesley

Hi Rhonda, I am 2 weeks post op and have the same problem with protein drinks in general. So far I hate them all, but I'd better find something soon that I can tolerate. Good luck on your wls. Happy New Year, Daisy C.
