Does anyone have Ochener health plan (OHP) of Louisiana Total health Choise?

If you do ,can you tell me if cover WLS?

I have oschner and it does as long as u where got an referrl from your primay care physcian

I am 5 days postop lap band. Going to the seminars is of great help in getting info gathered before going to the md for referal. 2 major illness are usually required, best documented diagnosis thru your pcp. Approval for me with a complete diet failure history resulted in rather quick approval. It will depend on your policy. The office personnel at the seminars are very knowledgable of insurances that approve Bariatric surgeons.

How was your sugery i am in the process i have done all my lab just waiting 4 appoval and a date

I am 12 days post op and have lost 10 lbs. I am pleased with the results so far. I am still on soft foods but have found a good variety and staying with low carbs and low fat and low sugar. I stayed home a week and return to work yesterday and doing fine. Protein had to be your priority for this to work. I had approval rather quick with Ochsner. Did you have your psych eval yet? That was a requirement also.

Yes I did phsyc eval i did blood work i am a diabetic and have thyrod problem i am just waiting 4 the nurse to call me back she said she did not get my phsyc eval i call the phsyc doctor and she said she faxed it twice i am just so anxious i get upset when i have to wait i am impaticent
