WLS Support Group forming down the bayou.

I'm from Galliano. I had surgery in June and I've lost 75 pounds. Although I don't regret having the surgery, I had a tough time after surgery, until just recently. What I took the hardest is that I thought I was prepared, but I found out I wasn't really prepared for how ill I was for 3 months after surgery. I'm starting a support group for people who are wanting to have surgery and need people to talk to. I'm also asking those who have had surgery, no matter how recent or long ago, to attend, (male or female), so we can help each other....especially the ones who are recently post-op. I feel it would greatly help for us to share and compare stories with each other. I know it helped me a lot to have people down here, who I could call to talk to when I felt ill and discouraged. As it stands now, there will be about 6 girls at our first meeting who have not yet had surgery, and about 3 or 4 who have had surgery.
