Hello from Thibodaux, Louisiana

Hello.. My husband is in need of a gastric bypass.. we just moved to Thibodaux not that long ago and the insurance he has is United Health Care. I talked to a csr today and he said that they do cover the surgery, however.. I need to find a surgeon. Any advice? We have a PCP and he agrees that the surgury needs to be done.. I just thought that perhaps someone with the same insurance, might have a suggestion. Thank you for allowing me the oppertunity to post and more than that, thank you for being here.. Carolyn, I have insurance with United Health Care and they will always tell you they do cover WLS. However, I went to the Doctor I chose in Lafayette, Dr. Stevens, and they work on the insurance for you. United Health Care almost always pays for the surgery. I just had mine done on 9/17 and was covered 100%. I hope this helps. Bobbie
