I would love to hear from some of our La. people. If you have had the surgery, I would love to hear how things are going. What was the worst thing about the surgery? I know the best is the weight loss, but any good thing would help also.

Hey Brenda, My name is Debbie Long. I had my surgery on May 27, 2003. As of 8/7/03 I have lost 60 lbs. I won't go through the details here. If your interested in my story you can search for my profile and read it. I was replying mostly to just wish you luck on your upcoming surgery. What type of surgery are you having? The lapband or the RNY (open or laporscopic)? One of the worst things for me was the horrible protein drinks. I did not find one I liked and had to choke down the ones I did not like. Of course 2 months after surgery.............I found a great protein drink. If you have not found one that you like yet, you really should try it. It is called Opti-Pro and can be purchased online at www.nurtisportonline.com. It is the best one out of the dozens I have tried.........and it is extremely healthy. If there is anything else I can help you with do not hesitate to contact me! That is exactly what this website is for.............helping each other! Bye, Debbie
