Lookinf for a light at the end of the tunnel

I am in the New Orleans area and very interested in having WLS. I am new to this process and not familiar with medicaid approval or surgeons in Louisiana. If anyone can help me get started I would realy appreciate it. I need this hope.

Well Ochsner has 2 surgeons that accepts Mecdicaid and I hear there is a Doc in Covinton that also accepts it. Medicaid requires 6 month dietitian visit and 1 psych evaluation.

I haven't had any luck. My pcp seems to have no clue what he next step would even be in the process.
