WOW! Vanessa is something, what reason did she give for not takeing fiber?Vanessa told me that diabetics should eat zero carbs that it wont make a diabetic sick to not have any carbs.I said well my pcp showed me a diabetic diet and it  has carbs on it and he wants me to eat some carbs in small amounts. She said  he wouldnt have said that and she wanted it in writeing ,lol. I understand that carbs make ya fat but where always told to have whole grains in moderation as recomended on the diebetic guidlines. She told me there is a  appetite suppresant at sams that some bariatric person was soposed to call her and give her the name of and she was gonna txt me with the name cause I need to be taking it.Im worried that if i did take it that maybe they will cancle my surgury,I just expect anything from them, its scary. what did your pcp say concerning fiber? I had read on here  that  people are useing a fiber gummie,so im gonna get that,I need to go over my list of what to pack. How long was your stay in hospital and when did you have to go back there for first visit and second one?

yes if there is any advice i can give to you and Bayourqt is that if you are going to let them do your surgery find a good nutritionist and pre-inform your pcp about everything to have them at the ready and use them for your post op... def. follow your nutritionist advice as im sure they have a degree for that exact thing.. i have heard that diabetics need less carbs but everyone needs some carbs.. vanessa has told me things and when i followed them and went back for next visit she got on me for doing them and tried to tell me she didnt say them...idk about the suppresant sorry.. i have fiber one chewables but some ppl cant take the taste and use gummies.. i stayed in hospital 1 night wed am to thur pm they wanted to keep me another night because they lollygagged and took forever to do leak test so it was late and wanted to keep me i said no thanks and went home after i knew i could take in liquids..  i went 1 week for 1st post op and on 3rd week 2nd post op  im not going back but someone else said they went at 2 weeks then 2 months so like i said i think she is making things up as she goes..

Ok first of all, going into the Operating room before I got on the table and asked who is Dr. Bellows, he came and shook my hand. Then came to my room next morning for two minutes and that was it. Then I was having stomach contractions and Vanessa said go to my local er and call her. Well the Doctor on staff did, left message and 5 hours later she never called back. I suggest yall lose enough weight as needed, and pray. Im so glad im on the other side now. But vanessa is getting rediciolus and Shelia is out for a while???? Wonder what happened with her? Its a joke, just do as ur told and stay on this website with questions. Btw I have a question, how long did Vanessa say we had to stay on liquids after surgery? Good luck! Leigh
Think positive, and all ur hopes and dreams will follow!

Hey Ladies, Sorry I do not get online much. We moved and my Internet Totally sucks. Dr. Bellows office seems to make and change their rules as they go. They are not consistent with all of their patients. They tell one one thing and another something else. Or as someone else said, she tells a patient  something and then says that she said something else. Its aggravating but I just did what I could until I had my surgery and now I have not been back since I recovered. I get my labs checked regularly by my PCP and all is good. My Cholesterol has dropped from 250 down to 127 so awesome. As far as the constipation I was told to take Miralax. It is also something that my 3 year old daughter was given by her pediatrician to take. Very safe and gentle also. It has been the only thing that has helped the constipation for me without cramping me up. I am 5 months out now. It dissolves into whatever you are drinking. Works for me. Ella I cant understand why he has not met you yet. I do know that he is not there on Wednesdays but that he is there on Tuesdays. Dr Bellows did come into the area where they prepped me before surgery but he did not for crazyduck. IDK seems very unprofessional not to meet your patient before surgery day. You are in my thoughts  and prayers ladies. Miss talking to all of you...Sherri
