Unhappy with results
I am sorry that you are unhappy with your progress. I had surgery in Oct 2010 and have only lost 42 lbs, but I have lost over 40 inches and several pants sizes. I was very upset a couple of weeks ago, and posted that on another forum. They reminded me that everyone loses at a different pace. You cannot compare your weight loss to someone elses. What surgery did you have? I had RNY and on the Oct RNY forum their are many people that have lost 50,60+ lbs. Their are also others like me that have lost the weight at a slower pace. It depends on the types of food you are eating, the exercise you are doing, water intake and on your metabolism, etc.
Don't get to discouraged, remember every pound lost is a victory!! I know that my expectations were a little over the top, I wanted to be one of those that lost 100 lbs in 4 months. Well, my body said.. I don't think so!
Just keep on going and remember that you are getting there, just not as fast as you would have liked, but you WILL get there!!
Good luck and God bless!

Thanks. I had a sleeve. I am still eating far less than I did before but now I have to be careful so I don't gain.. Never mind lose. I did not go through this a pay this much because I wanted these results!!! My doctor says excercise.....eat less...have more will power... If I could have done all those things successfully I would not have needed the surgery!!!!!!!!!!! I am eating stuff I don't like and stay hungry most of the time and it is still a struggle to not gain. Maybe myexpectations were all wrong but even so it should be better than this. Believe it or not I am trying to be fair.
I am sorry you did not loose fast at first. My husband lost 120 in just 5 months, but he has basically stoped and needs to lose about 30 more.He just had a total hip replacement and will be able to excersice more soon,so im sure the weight will start comeing off agian soon .Are you getting the correct protien in and eating every 2 hours, and keeping the calories low enough,if so the weight will come off
