Some foods just don't taste the same....??

I am post op VSG four weeks and am slowly working on increasing my food intake, but I find that lots of foods don't have the same taste as they did prior to surgery.  Has anyone else had this happen?

I had the RNY in Oct. I have found the same thing is true for me. The foods either taste different or I just don't even want to eat anything, kind of hungry but can't stand to think of food. I don't know if it the taste, smell, or texture that I can't take. It is just weird.I am finally able to drink some water and it not taste very bad.

I had the same experience. It will pass, so do not worry. Once the weight loss slowed, my taste buds returned to normal.
