Well, I had my RNY on Monday 10/25/10. Surgery went good, pain meds were great! D/C last night. Today was rough! My belly is very swollen, tried to get my protein shake down, made me even more blotted. So much to keep up with........ 80 grams of protein, 48 oz fluids, MVI, calcium, B12. Don't forget the pain! Taking it 1 day at a time. :}

I wish great luck with your recovery and I hope that it all gets better soon for you. Conggrats on making the losers bench.  I hope to be there soon.

I had my surgery 10/13/2010, just give it a week or so and you will feel better. My dr allowed pureed foods after 1st week. I put a can of beef stew in my blender-meat and all). It was sooo good. That is when I began to feel better. I also make a protein drink smoothie. I peel and quarter bananas then freeze them. Pop them in the blender with the protein drink, vanilla flavor, 2 packets of artificial sweetner. I sometimes add a few strawberries. YUM!!
My point is, you will be moving around better soon, pain will get much less, and any type of nutritional foods(blended soups,etc.) that you are allowed to have will make you feel better.
