Psych Evaluation

Hi everyone
I'm new to the OH website and was wondering if you guys can help me. My friend is having wls and needs to get a behavioral analysis but she has medicaid. Do you guys know of any psychiatrist in the metro New Orleans area that will do it and take medicaid? Thanks

Tulane hospital has their own behavior psycologist in new orleans if her dr send a referral they could more than likely see her. Worth a try...Sherri

This is the only thing you have to actually pay for - it is $300.00.

WOW...I guess I got off lucky....my psych eval was only $100 and you had to pay with cash or a check, no insurance or credit cards or medicaid could be used. I guess he didn't have to do any paperwork to get paid so it was cheaper.

well if they don't have a payment plan i guess surgery is out of the question for me because i don't have $300 dollars that is too much money to see a psych i already see one wonder if he can see me for free it don't hurt to try

I really don't understand why you have to pay 250. Insurance will cover this All he would need a diagnosis along with obesity.
