OT: Nice safe town in Louisiana

Hello everyone!
Just wanted some advice on some nice places to live, which are considered pretty safe.  Preferrably not too far from New Orleans.   Also, if anyone has any info about a nice safe trailer park or campground area in case I have to do something temporary before finding a more permanent housing would be great.   I don't know if I am for sure going to move, but wanted to start looking into options.

 St. Charles parish has a lot to offer and it is only 20 minutes from New Orleans.  If you are wanting to be near the city, this area is a good option.  

i live in arabi (st bernard parish) 10 minutes from downtown new orleans, yet far enough from all the major crimes. i love it here and the schools are good also. there are several trailer parks in the area, as well as the state park campground.

i lived in st charles parish (in ama) before. its nice too!

The Northshore is an awesome place to live...just over the causeway from the city. Very low crime here although it is a bit more expensive to live over this way.
Excellent public schools and some great private schools too.
I live in Mandeville.

I live in Maurepas, about 40 miles from New orleans, but very small town. No crime, unless own family. The rent is cheap. Nice country livin. My kids go to same school. 12 to pre k. individual attention for kids. Send me a private message and we can talk.
