New to site and having my surgery next thursday July 15, 2010

Hi all I'm very excited to be having my surgery next week.  If there is any advice y'all can give I would greatly appreciate it.

Walk asmuch as u can to get the gas out. Gas hurts ALOT. So the more u can get out the better. and sip sip sip. I hope that all goes well with your surgery....Sherri

Thanks I'll remember to do that.  Was it easier to drink cold or warm liquids after surgery? 

You can try the cold but its been said over and over again that warm liquids seemed alot better in the beginning.

Warm liquids were better for me in the first couple weeks, which really ticked me off because I love everything ice cold. LOL
That being said it was not long before I was having my ice water with lemon or whatever piece of fruit I had around to flavor it.
Good luck on your surgery, Keep us posted on how you are doing. You will love this tool you are getting. It has really changed my life.

Good luck to you for tomorrow.  Before I do anything I put it in the Lords hands, he will get you thru anything.  I was 705lbs and I heard many of times I would not make it thru the night or to Christmas.  And I am still here.  If you would like to see my story go to youtube, steve nuccio weight loss wednesday.  I will be praying for you!!  Tomorrow is the first day of your new life.
