HELP with Dr's.....

Hi Im trying to make a desicion between Dr. Andrew Hargroder and Dr.Keith Chung I'm looking to have a revision and Im at the point I need a Surgeon  now. If anybody has any info on either of them please let me know from what I can read they are both GREAT Drs. I just want to get the Dr part right this time being the first WLS was totally WRONG...........Im getting this BAND out and the BYPASS done....hopefully Thanks Shannon

have you considered the DS Dr Stevens in Lafayette is wonderful he also does RNY....check him out...

my insurance doesn't cover the DS I  called some office here in Laffayette but they won't do a revision they say its too EARLY for having the BAND done in 08 well BS guess they dont have to live with it...So i have decided to go out of town.

Have you called Surgical Specialists of Louisiana?

Dr. Thomas Lavin is in New Orleans but there is an office in Lafayette.

I just posted about him in an above post to recommend him to a patient whose doctor has had his license suspended and you can read more about my opinion of him there as well.

Dr. keith chung is a great. I know several people who used him and everything went well with all of them. So if you choose him I think you will be making a good choice.....

Dr. Hargroeder did my mom's sleeve in November.  I had RNY in January, but had to have an insurance-approved hospital to do it at therefore he couldn't do my surgery.  I was VERY impressed with the entire process from start to finish with him.  I went with her for her inital visit, he sat with us nearly an hour answering every single little question we had.  He met with the family before and after she went into the OR, explained to us how everything went and answered all questions.  And when he came to do rounds, he sat and talked with us and again addressed each and every question or concern that we had.  I was more than impressed with him.

Dr. Gachassin and Dr. Eschete in Lafayette are highly skilled surgeons also.
