How long to wait?

Hello everybody!

I registered online with Dr. Hargroder a week ago and have only gotten a few generic emails concerning my isurance (which i know won't cover it anyway, how silly).  I was wondering about how long it might take before someone from the office actually conacts me to set a date for my screening.  I understand I can't go in tomorrow to have it done, but I do want to get the ball rolling.  I am so ready to have this done my patience is wearing out.

Any encouragement/info would be fantastic!

Your insurance will be the first thing they want to confirm.

if you are certain it won't and are interested in cash pay, i would recommend emailing that specific information to let them know that you want to get things moving and plan to have the surgery either way.

if you arent in a position to cash pay and your insurance will not pay, look around for another policy just for you that will cover it.

i've been trying to have the surgery for years but my husbands policy would not cover it.  i started shopping around and found that my company offered a few different policies, one of which, thank God, covered the majority of it. so my husband dropped my off of his policy and i signed up for mine. the cost of the premiums against the cost of the surgery was minimal.

i just had surgery a week ago today and am feeling some pain but 10 times better already.

i wish you luck with your search and don't be afraid to seek out independent carriers to see if any of them can help you.
