Dr. Keith Chung and Support Group Meetings

Hi, I lurk here more than anything.  I had RNY in 2005 in Houston while living there.  I've been back in the Lake Charles area for a little over 2 years and am in need of some in-person support.  I feel at this stage that I am sabotaging myself with choices and emotional eating.

Does anyone from OH attend Dr. Chung's support group meetings?  I called his office and the next meeting is at 6:00 p.m. on September 10th at Women and Children's Hospital. 

I live in the Leesville area but had my surgery in Lafayette.
I don't go to any support meetings due to the long drives but mainly chit chat via e-mail with other WL people. You can email me anytime you need to vent :o). I was/am an emotional eater too. I've been going to Counseling for 2 yrs and that has really helped me. Maybe we can swap ideas on what has helped and what hasn't?

Dr Chung's support group is always the 2nd Thursday of each month, and he places great emphasis on post op weight gain and proper eating patterns.  He allows us to vent and ask questions, and share our personal experience with each other.   The atmosphere is very relax, and all of us really got something out of it.  Sounds like this is what you need, and I think you will enjoy it as much as we do.  See ya there, Laurie
