Hi Anna. Welcome. I will warn you, the Louisiana board is not all that active but there are a couple of faithful ones that will usually chime in! Tell us a bit about yourself!

Hello Anna,

I've been around for years and through an initial and revisional procedure. I come to the Louisiana page almost everyday, but I've been hanging out so long, that I usually just respond to posts instead of starting them.

I'm not dead ... really, I'm not

I am a previous band with a sleeve. I know a lot of RNY and DS associates, but my intestines have issues and I've taken what works for me without too much risk to the old guts. This has given me a good healthy appreciation for the diversity of routes that we all take on the road to wellness.

I like cooking, Web nerd stuff and the mass media. My passions in life include my support group and my 6 year old daughter.

I look forward to hearing from you and helping in any way you might need.

Please, come back and sit for a spell (Thanks Southern for visit often and hang out)

Onward,
Frances

Hey Anna! I'm also new here. Doesn't look like many people actually are on this board. I am not having any luck at all getting a response to my question, and that worries me a bit..
Hope you are doing well and hope to speak with you again soon.

Hello Penny,

I saw your question and I think that's just a tough area for getting any feedback. That doctor may be new to bariatrics or new to the area. I've only known one other doctor in the Monroe area before I saw his name.

Wish you luck,
Fra ces

Hi Anna!

People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas. ~Author Unknown

Thanks Ms. Frances! I know he started doing the procedure over a year ago, but I dont' know how many he has done. My sister swears by him, but I just wish I knew more people who have used him. I know of only 3 and they all did very well, but he does this surgery routinely in his practice.
I don't know much about the Dr's here in Baton Rouge, where I live. But I just feel the need to be up with my family when I have surgery.
You are in the Baton Rouge area also? You may have to let me lean on you from time to time as I start my journey. My consult is the 20th and they will schedule my surgery at that time. I get more and more anxious, excited, and nervous everyday.
Thanks for the response

Just chiming in. You couldn't ask for anyone better to lean on! Frances is an amazing woman who goes above and beyond to help in any way she can! Just had to throw that in there *wink*!
