I keep saying to my self....4 ox 3 times a day. wow. that is like one bite of veggies, one bite of meat, and one bite of fruit. LOL. i know i am on a liquid diet for 2 weeks i think post op....no prob....but what are some things you take for lunch and so forth? what can i expect? if you go out to eat do you just take a bite of someone elses plate? LOL

Each doctor has different guidlines for eating after their patient's has surgery. I was on liquids for one week post op, soups (not chunky) after two weeks, soft foods after three weeks and regular food introduced slowly after four weeks. I tend to order from the child's menu when I go out to eat or I try to order something that I know will reheat later or the next day for another meal.
I brought popsicles, jello, crystal light, broth, protein shakes for lunch. I also had the foresight to prior to surgery to when I cooked beans and there was little left over, I strained the beans and froze the juice from it and I did this for gumbo as well.
Good luck to you.
