Support group meeting tonight in Baton Rouge

We are excited to offer our second meeting of the month today at Pennington Biomedical Research Center at 6 p.m. 

The awesome folks at Pennington are geared to help us better understand our bodies and the mechanics involved in weight loss and wellness. We also want to strengthen our offerings to our members and use every resource given to us to promote our wellness journeys. 

Dr. Eric Ravussin will present a new research study involving patients seeking bariatric surgery. The Title of his presentation will be "Effect of Bariatric Surgery and Weight Loss on Energy Metabolism and Insulin Sensitivity."

Dr. Karl LeBlanc will discuss a new and much less invasive procedure that offers substantial benefits to our post-surgery bariatric patients who may need extra help getting back on track with their weight loss progress. Dr. LeBlanc, a leader in bariatrics, has performed procedures with the StomaphyX device and will be on hand to discuss the procedure.
