hi,he is still in ICU,he had the surgury yesterday and they had to remove his gallbladder also, that wasnt planed. He was in great pain yesterday ,doing some better today,my Dad is with me here in lafayette,we have been staying at a hotel and was soposed to check out tomarrow, but now he might still be in ICU for another day and we cannot stay there so we might get room for 2 more nites. Its a possibility. He had the staged DS,which is the sleave. So far he has had the pain issues and the immobility issues along with the unexpected gallbladder that did not show up bad on upper gi or on ultrasound and he had some throwing up and his blood sugar was high and he had to get insulin a few times,he is not diabetic. They said its the surgury and the stress from it.
hOW ARE YOU DOING SINCE YOURS?
hOW ARE YOU DOING SINCE YOURS?
Good morning, Sue,
I'm sorry to hear that he's feeling the pain of the moment, but I do know that it gets better and he will love the benefits that this new start will afford him. I will be in prayer that the pain and discomfort goes away soon.
I also had my gallbladder taken out when I had the Sleeve surgery and I am diabetic. I was on a sliding scale of insulin in the hospital, but the numbers started improving very slow afterwards.
I've been going at my normal pace since about a week and a half out. I'm three weeks out and feeling almost normal with some serious energy failures at night. I am, however, usually getting home at 8 or 9 p.m. and still going to bed at my usual 1 a.m., so the tired feelings do make sense.
Do you still have my cell phone number?
