DOC AT LSU IN NEW ORLEANS TAKES MEDICAID

 I have read where medicare wouldn't pay for the sleeve but it will lapband! 

Everyday I check the mail its like im holding my breath. LOL...I just want to know so bad and im not very good at waiting. Let me know when you get your letter. Im sure we should get them around the same time. Did make your dietitian appt. yet??

no i havent, my psych appt is dec 2 so im trying to find another doc to go to for that so i can try to get it done faster. i guess just because im super excited i just want to hurry and get everything done lol but i will keep my progress updated on here. i just wish i had a step by step outline of what happens next lol so i figure ill post mine in case anyone needs to know lol

I'm right there with you two. I see him tomorrow and I'm getting so nervous. I say nervous, but it's more excitement I think.  This has been a life long strugle for me. I lost weight (on Adipex diet pills) and went from a size 26-28 down to a 16 when Hurrican Katrina hit, then I had the hysterectomy from HELL and was laid up for 4 months with a wound from hip to hip and put all of the weight back on. I am currently in a size 24 and it's killing me. When my weight was down I felt so good and full of life. Now I strugle with just walking to the mailbox.

Girls, we should all try to get together and have a lil VGS hen party! Or let me know when you come to town, I don't live but 20 minutes from Dr. Steeb's office, we could meet and go through this together. No one knows what we are going through, unless they have walked in our shoes.

 I see him 11-12 and i am very nervous but i am like you more excited then anything!! I have a 5 hour drive to make but its worth every mile if i can have my sugery and be healthy and happY!!!!! Good luck Froggieangel!!!

i totally agree have lunch or something together lol.... well the newest is the nutritionalist. every friday for 9 weeks........ it sucks. i have a job lol.... well i guess ill make it work. and i guess ill be down there every friday lol.............

i was told it was a 2 week class. i will have to check into this. but we have to do what we have to do. hoefully we will be in there together. can't wait to meet you both in person. just getting back from getting my blood work done! my level of excitment is so high. if this is dream . . . DON'T WAKE ME!!!!!!!

yea 9 weeks they changed it. since i live out of town they are letting me do it over the net, she is emailing me the assignments and letting me do it that way. so i dont have to drive to new orleans every week. im getting so very excited im just so scared something is gonna happen i just keep praying that its not. anyways so yea now this 9 week thing but at least we're on our way

 Oh wow maybe she will change it for me since i am 5 hours away....
