DOC AT LSU IN NEW ORLEANS TAKES MEDICAID
I will be calling Dr. Steebs office ASAP. I also have medicaid and have been searching for a doctor they will take it for WL surgery. My bmi is 43 but, no hypertension yet. I do have loads of fertility and pregnancy issues due to my weight. So im praying for a miracle as well. Thank you for posting this!!!
I called Dr. Steebs office this morning and they told me he is not taking anymore patients for WLS due to the university putting a hold on it. Does anyone know if this is true? I asked to speak with Devin but, she wasn't available. Ugh......I was excited about this last night and this morning another STOP sign!

i was put in touch with dr steeb's office just 2 weeks ago. they called me back the next day and scheduled my first appointment for nov. 5th. thank you jesus. i, like the rest of you, am on louisiana medicaid. and medicaid only covers the gastric sleeve and dr steeb is the only dr in the state to accept medicaid. and that the program for the surgery was just re-opened as of last friday. and that the surgeries are performed at university in new olreans. i was told it only takes 4 to 6 weeks to get approval from medicaid to perform this surgery. if any of you have already had this procedure, plz let me know what i can expect.
looking forward to hearing from you all. best of luck to us all in our quest to become thinner, healthier individuals.
