DOC AT LSU IN NEW ORLEANS TAKES MEDICAID
once your paperwork is turned in to medicaid (correctly) it only takes about a month to get approval letter. i stalked the mailbox, just waiting. the approval letter is usually good for 3 months.
this surgery has been a blessing to me and i hope it will be to you ladies also. i feel like i have gotten my life back. i see now just how consumed my life was with food. it still is, but in a different way. i went to the grocery store yesterday and what use to take me an hour, took 2 1/2 hours. i stopped and read every lable. now that i am making better food choices, i am introducing my family into the same thing. for instance instead of buying all the cookies and cakes, i bought fresh fruit, veggies, and healthy snacks. my 10 yr old doesnt even notice that the ice cream is sugar free! lol i have even incorporated a salad into their meals. i have come to the decision that if i buy junk food they will eat it, but if i dont buy it, they cant eat it!
good luck to all ya'll. although i'm new to the losers bench, i'm here if you have any questions. after all, we are all sisters in surgery. keep me posted!

Angel thank you so much for responding. I am soooo glad you have done so well with Dr Bellows. I am extremely excited to be on my way to the losers bench and cant wait. I should have all my testing done by Aug 11th. How was the hospital itself when you had your surgery. Did you have to share a room with other bariatric patients? I know Dr. Bellows staff is wonderful. I was just wondering about how the hospital stay was. Has your pain gone? How much are you able to eat now? Sorry so many questions. I hope there's room for me on that losers bench. I am on my way lol....Sherri
