DOC AT LSU IN NEW ORLEANS TAKES MEDICAID

I am from northeast LA. No insurance. Help please. I am tired of being fat. I am looking at all possible points of surgery. Lap band and gastric sleeve. All information welcomed.

i learned while in nutrition class that LSU Medical Clinics in New Orleans are seeing patients for the gastric sleeve. i will have to look up the number for you!

Do u know any of the requirments for Dr. Steeb? I can also be reached at [email protected] I am trying to get a card now. Cant afford insurance. But this dieting my entire life is making me really old really fast.

Well I am new here but thanks to all of the posts I have anappointment with Dr. Steeb April 15th.  They say that this is a consult.  Can anyone give me a clue as to what the first visit is all about, I guess i am anxious and would just like to know what to expect.  Ty

WHO DAT?

 hey all...i feel like i'm so out of the loop now..i don't know if i have an appointment..haven't checked my mail in a little bit...i oughta do that i guess.  half way through the nutrition class.  it's the last step.  last year at this time i weighed 472 lbs.  i weighed sunday and i weighed in at 370lbs.  so yeah..i broke the century mark....pretty excited about that.    any suggestions on what to do now?  my fam says i should keep going like i am going and not have the surgery.  i don't know if i should miss this opportunity.  haven't heard anything from new orleans since january.  and i had to go hunt down the info myself.  

we are all playing the waiting game! waiting for dr. steeb to return then it's on for most of us.

i just got my pool finished (it's been funky since katrina) anyhow, i figure thats gonna be a great exercise tool for me.
