DOC AT LSU IN NEW ORLEANS TAKES MEDICAID

This doctor in New Orleans at LSU does the Gastric Sleeve for Medicaid Patients. Please call 504-903-2373.
Cousin went to appt. yesterday. Must get a Medicaid referral from your doctor. But please call. After her appt. on yesterday, her other requirements were to get a psych eval and nutrition eval. Her surgery could be as early as August.
I hope this helps....she said she was there most of the day, but at least she got hope....

I called to make an appointment at my regular doctor, this is the first I will see them, so I did not want to jump in with "Can you give me a referral?". I have an appt on the 29th and will try to get the referral faxed then. I'll let you know what happens. I know that you are excited and trying to get the answers all at once but slow down and take your time with it. I did not want to "rock the boat" over at the clinic with my calls plus others that they may be getting about the same thing. You know how it can be when you irritate the person with all the answers.I got the info and plan to get the referral, so we will see what happens then.

Just because you didn't get an answer doesn't mean I was not sure. I gave the info. My cousin has 2nd appt. Aug. 3.

I just called the number and got the operator who gave further directions....Try again...it is LSU and I am sure they are busy...But I just got someone..

I am sorry I did get an answer and they told me that it was for appointments and they did not know what I was talking about they ask what doctor? and what clinic ? So just another lead gone bad. more info next time u decide to post they have over 20 clinic where is waldo ?

Ok...First of all I just called AGAIN... Common sense would tell you to ask for the physician that handles weight loss...(since my cousin is out of town, I don't have that info. in front of me)...When I called he told me that the surgery is being handled through the surgery clinic who is not open every day...He said a referral would need to be faxed to 504-903-1605 for the gastric sleeve. After it is faxed, the Surgery Clinic will then send a letter with an appt.
Now I got all that from this 5 min. conversation from the same number I gave you.
And I am only trying to help those who need it, you didn't have to be so rude. My cousin got her appt. I gave her the same number I listed and she called and asked further questions which in turn lead her to her first appt. now getting ready for the second.
I wasn't misleading, only trying to help. So please don't respond if you have an attitude.
