Lafayette area surgeons?
There are a few Dr's in Lafayette to choose from. They all offer support groups for before & after surgery, they all offer seminars too. I would suggest that you attend as many seminars as you can & make a personal decision from there. I went to a few my self & alot of Dr's I met I was not impressed w/ & then I found my surgeon threw word of mouth. Went to his seminar, met w/ his staff & support team & I just completely feel comfortable & knew that he was right for me personally!!! I chose Dr. Phillip Gachassin & have had no regrets what so ever the before & after education, care, respect, humanity, over all experience w/ him & his staff have been more then great!.......You will find no one will talk bad about their surgeons, so take what I say & everyone else as suggestions & look into them for yourself. If you have any question I know anyone of us will be more then happy to help you out in any why we can.
Good Luck & take care,

Hi Michele! I agree with K-T. Go to as many seminars as you can and get a feel for the surgeons and their staff. I am personally having my surgery through Surgical Specialists of Louisiana with Dr Stevens. There are 3 other surgeons there as well. You can check out their website at www.whyweight.com to get a listing of their seminar times and locations. I am not personally familiar with the other surgeons in Lafayette but I know there is a place on here that you can search surgeons and get a listing and read through feedbacks. But, as Katherine said above, take what people say and then take what you learn on your own and add them together to get a whole picture! Good luck and please keep us updated on you!
