Support groups in LA?
New U Support Group rocks and rules!
JT, we would be glad to have you on June 4 in Baton Rouge at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital or on June 18 at Pennington Biomedical Research Center. We have a couple of members from Metaire who are on the Louisiana board and ALL patients are welcomed. We don't care where you came from, we just want to be a part of where you are going.
It's tentative, but there's Saturday outing planned for June 6 and will include horseback riding, nature walks, volleyball and rowing races on a scenic, lovely private lake.
We also have a newly launched Web site, that's sparse, but growing, www.NewUSupport.com.
Team New U is select "force" of weight loss surgery patients *and* their families joining to exercise and walk for charity causes. We are 45 members strong and will be running, walking and pulling a 737 before the year is out. (Yes, baby, we are pulling the plane!)
Ok, do I sound like a commercial or what?
I must add the disclaimer, this wls patient does work for the Surgeons Group of Baton Rouge and the New U Support Group ... BUT I LOVE MY WORK!
Hope to see you soon,
France
