Newbie Here

Hello all! I am a newbie to OH and was wanting to try to meet others in my area who have had or are going to have WLS. I am just beginning my journey...well, I've been studying, praying, and hoping for the last 6 years now but it is finally materializing...and I have heard how important support is... I'm not usually very good at reaching out for support as I am terribly shy...but I realize that short of giving my life to God, this is the single most important event that will EVER take place in my life... so, if you have any advice or just wanna get to know me... hit me up! Thanks and God bless you all!

  I totally understand what you are saying.........accepting the salvation of the Lord is indeed the single most important life changing decision I have made!  That is a decision that has changed me from the inside out!!!  The decision to have the gastric bypass changed my life on the outside...but was still an awesome decision!!!                                                                           Have a blessed day!

Welcome to OH and it's good to know about sister in the FOG (Family of God).

You have made some bold steps and I hope you are soon comfortable with your group of supporters here. Having this support system was a blessing from the Lord that I did not expect. I didn't know just how much I would need my OH family, but when things got rough, I was literally drowning in support.

I grew up not far from you in Lake Charles and my Dad worked at Fort Polk for nearly 30 years -- so ya see -- we aren't like strangers at all.
