Dr. Jonathan Taylor, Zachary, LA
Personally I just did not feel comfortable with him. I didn't want to use the hospital that he was affiliated with. I just did not get the warm fuzzy feeling after visiting him on 3 ocassions.
I was a self pay after fighting with my insurance for 2 years. I do not regret it at all. What I use to pay for medications is now paying my surgery note for 24 months. Overall I am saving lots of money. I don't eat out and I don't have to buy medications. Its a win win situation!
Lots of luck to you!

Hello Sherry,
I used a surgeon in Baton Rouge and I'm vey active in local andstate support groups. I attended a meeting with Dr. Taylor's group because I wanted to be able to make references to anyone who might be helped by him.
I'm very fond of several surgeons, but more moved by the fact several people are falling through the cracks and suffering (and dying) because they are not aware or close to bariatric surgeons.
I live within walking distance of his hospital here in Zachary and both he and his hospital are well-credentialed. He is a gifted surgeon with a caring and complete approach to his patients. Don't let the small town fool ya, Zachary is an excellent, growing community with a strong professional base.
Let me know if you plan to do an informational seminar with Dr. Taylor. I've gone once before and would be glad to show up again and lend support to this excellent program.
Onward to wellness,
Frances

Hello!
I have one kid left in school at Walker...my two older children are in college now, but my son is a sophomore at Walker High.
Unfortunately, Dr. Hausmann is not "in-network" for this procedure with UHC...but i am still fighting to get someone in BR.
It's been frustrating but it will be worth it if i can ever get it done...
