"Louisiana Invasion, Part Deaux"

Hi, I've only posted on the La. board a couple of times.  I'm from SW La. currently back "home".  For 7 years I lived in the Houston area so I'm referring to this as "La. Invasion".  Last April around 50 people from the Texas Message Board came to Louisiana (Sulphur) for a get-together. 

We swam at the hotel on Saturday, all went to dinner together Saturday night then went to the casino and to a little "hole in the wall bar" in Sulphur that had Kaeroke.  We had a blast!

I'm planning another "Invasion" this year.  It looks like probably June 13th right now and wanted to invite some fellow Louisianaians to join in the fun.  If anyone is interested please let me know, I'm looking to see how many hotel rooms we'll need for Friday and/or Saturday nights.  The plans aren't finalized yet but hope to do that soon, just trying to get an idea on how many to plan for.

We have a monthly support group meeting that is located in SWLA (DeRidder) - I'll mention this to our group leader (Faith) and see if we can all get together and meet yall in Sulphur.  Sounds like a lot of fun!  Are spouses welcome?

Geri, I've met Faith before she is adorable.  I hope she can come, there will be lots of folks she met at the OH convention in Houston attending.

Sounds like fun! That is about an hour from me so I think I will come.

Emily, hooray I'm looking forward to meeting some of the people from the Louisiana board.  Are you going to need a hotel room?  Are you coming alone or with someone?  King bed or 2 Doubles if you want rooms?

I will need a room, more than likely one king bed will be what I will want.  I thnk I will come alone with no husband LOL so that I can really let my hair down.  DH id not a really social person and I am so sometimes we go our seperate ways on this kind of thing.
What do the rooms run, are they under $100?

hey don't leave me out. i want to come. had surgery in louisiana live in mississippi, but i think you need some mississippi flavor to show you ladies how to have fun. let me know specifics. charlene.

I loved in MS fo 9 years so I bring a little of that flavor myself. I lived in TX too so I am a real mix (or mutt LOL)
