Alive and Well!

Hello Everyone! Just a shout out to all of you. Looks like we've all gone AWOL!...life gets pretty busy, but no excuses...this forum has been such a source of support, lets get back in touch...OK?

I haven't been able to make the Ochsner Support meetings, so I'm really out of touch with everyone. Here's a challenge to the old group...how are ya'll doing...just a quick post would be great!

I just went for my 1 year check -up. All health issues are resolved, no more meds! Total weight loss is 94 lbs....hummmm...100 by my scale! Anyway, the important thing is that I feel great. I'm able to do so many things I thought I would never be able to do again...Life is GOOD!

     Sabrina here I am doing great, haven't been to a meeting in two months due to having been taking a CMA class for work every Tuesday from 2 to 7 in Slidell. I am going to have a hysterectomy on December 10th and should have a TT a week later at Woman's Hospital.

    Working for Starc in Mandeville, so have been very busy with that and my son has been playing freshmen football for the school. Anyone looking for Mardi Gras beads we sell them for $50.00 for a 18 lb. tub of beads that are seperated and are the same length there is about 40-50 dozens in the tub. the phone number for Starc is 985-727-9439

anyway, thought that I would......One year, 1 week out, down 90 lbs and goal is just around the corner. I am fine here I am anyway. I am feeling so good about everything, life is good, kids are happy, and grandbabies are wonderful. New man in my life as well, been 18 years divorced.........NOW THAT IS A WOW!

Just got home from the hospital today, had RNY on 11/05.

central la here...got my surgery date of dec 29...can NOT believe it.  will have to start optifast on the 22nd.  what a way to start 2009.  i am having the sleeve gastr. with dr. lavin.  any comments welcome.  i am new to this posting thing.

Congradulations! I'm scheduled with Dr. Lavin for the sleeve on December 10th. I agree with you - what a way to start 2009!!!

I just wanted to say that you made a good choice with your surgeon.  Dr. Lavin was my surgeon and I had no complications.  Good luck!
